The Ranch Club in Missoula, MT is so beautiful, challenging and catering to their visitors and members.
It is a public Golf Course that seems like it’s private. The golf carts all have a small cooler filled with ice and some bottled water. They will come and grab your clubs, clean them if you want and carry your clubs to the car or store them for you if you are a member. They have wonderful fresh food and drinks that are seasonally changed and a fully stocked bar.
What a beautiful day on the Golf Course with my youngest son Wyatt!!!
We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, it was a “Rough & Sandy” kinda day!!!
It did get kind of HOT out but we’re NOT complaining!!! 😉 It was 92 when we left the course around 4pm.
After the front 9 we went inside to cool off a little and have lunch….Yummy Yummy!
I had the Huckleberry Lemonade to drink….very refreshing!!
For lunch Wyatt had the handmade pepperoni pizza and I had the blackened fish taco w/sweet potato fries (again)…..the food is always good and fresh.
This picture is from hole 11….it is a par 3. For the first time Wyatt hit onto the green in one hit (cannot see his ball but its by his feet) and I hit into the sand for the first time (ball is at the bottom of the picture)!!! He was extremely proud of himself and yes, he did beat me on this hole!!!
This trip I only took a few pics but realized it was mainly of Wyatt in the sand!!! Lol….he wasn’t in the sand as much as it looks, really!!!
However, the last two were in the same sand bunker, he had to hit it twice as the first time it caught the lip!! Just had to point that out!!!
Highly recommend The Ranch Club in Missoula, MT if you ever find yourself in our neck of the woods!

The Ranch Club in Missoula, Montana. A beautiful Golf Course no matter what time of year…….. if it’s open to play life is beautiful!!! Of course, it’s early yet and everything is just starting to green up and grow so finding your ball is much easier if you happen to hit it in the rough or if you hit it into the water you may have a chance to find it as the water levels are low (I lose less golf balls this time of year)!!
Not the best picture but I was glad to be out in the fresh air even though it wasn’t shorts and tank top weather just yet……..upper 50’s with an occasional chilly wind off and on that included the clouds hiding the warm beautiful bright sunshine!!
I even took a couple of photos of my husband and his work partner as proof that they usually DO work while out on the course!!!! They took a conference call while playing and this is NOT the first time and I’m sure that it will NOT be the last!!! My husband does it more often than not…..why ruin the chance to be outside enjoying life?!? I’m just lucky enough that most of what he does can be done from anywhere in the world!!!!
The next few pictures are of ones of our dear friend Gordon “Gordy” who has now golfed twice in 3 months!!! It has been 7+ years since he last golfed and he is loving it and hating it at the same time as he is very rusty but is starting to get the feel of it once again!!! He was with us in Mesquite, NV when we golfed Wolf Creek Golf Club this past February (beautiful course and highly recommend if in the area). Gordy swears he is going to be practicing back home in Billings, MT so he can be better once again like he use to be and more confident and relaxed on the course.
It was WONDERFUL to see him so happy and excited at his great shot!!! Good job Gordy……..I was lucky enough to be capturing it for him to share with his family that is still in shock that he is golfing again at 63 years young!!!!!
Oh Yeah……FIST PUMP!!!!!!!!!
Happy Face…..Happy Strut!!!!
If any of you find yourselves in or near Missoula, Montana I highly suggest The Ranch Club Golf Course!!!! It is a public course so anyone can golf it…….it is challenging for most and a few holes can be easy if your on your “A Game” otherwise you will be with the rest of us and just enjoying the course regardless of your score!!!!!
The Food is wonderful regardless of what you like…..the Chef brings fresh new ideas that are always yummy and the menu is always updated with new exciting dishes so we never get bored with the same old food!! Very Fresh and tantalizing on the taste buds………everything has always been good!!!!
The Beverages are as simple or intricate as you like……..huckleberry lemonade (with or without alcohol but with real huckleberries is one of my favorites), they have seasonal specials, beer, wine and a fully stocked bar as well as many non-alcoholic options as well for adults or the kids!!!
This course is VERY kid and family friendly as they host and have several events throughout the year from Holidays to just because……..kids are often seen practicing, golfing and eating here as well as enjoying their other amenities!!!
The Staff at The Ranch Club have always been courteous, accommodating, friendly and a pure pleasure to be around!!!
Happy Golfing and Thank you for reading my thoughts…….Robin Robinson
I would much prefer the warm sunshine as I’m over the beautiful snow and cold for this year!!!!
“Mother Nature will you please Bless our Mountains and areas still needing the moisture to get through the summer and Bless the rest of us with warmth and sunshine!!!” Thank you for reading my thoughts…….Robin Robinson
Wolf Creek Golf Club Part 2…..more of my personal pictures, experience and information. Some of the information about Wolf Creek, I borrowed from their website. It is a beautiful course and if you ever find yourself in Mesquite, Nevada, I highly recommend bringing or renting some clubs and trying the course out for yourself, it is a public course!!! It’s also wonderful during the winter when it’s super cold at home and you can golf in shorts and a collared tank top because there’s always sunshine in Mesquite!! Wolf Creek Golf Club was opened in 2000. It is a Par-72, 7018 yard layout that challenges players of any ability!! Do NOT be intimidated by the beauty and the fact that it is has been ranked #48 of the top golf courses to be played, it has been ranked #2 or #3 for 11 years in a row for Nevada courses, Wall Street Journal Europe named Wolf Creek #10 in the World to play, it was also one of a few featured on Tiger Woods 2008 video game……..this is just a few of the achievements of this course. Do NOT be intimidated….it is worth every minute of golfing on the course even if you are a beginner!! I am still somewhat of a beginner, didn’t beat myself up too badly, took a couple of mulligans (far less than the two men I was golfing with) and enjoyed every minute of it!!!
Wolf Creek is not only the ultimate golf experience, but also an 18-hole roller coaster ride over, around and through the canyons of Mesquite. Lush green fairways wind through the rugged desert terrain and elevated tee boxes greet players with immaculate views of the course.
My Pictures really Do Not do Wolf Creek Golf Club justice…….it is such a beautiful course, well taken care of, well layed out and such beauty around each bend, through all of the ups and downs and dog legs left and right!!!!!!
There was 4 of us there for our first experience with this course. One has golfed since he was little (approx. 30 yrs. off and on and in High School), two of us have golfed some but still more on the beginner side than intermediate and the fourth person has never golfed or been on a course before so she was there for moral support (more like giggles and entertainment at our expense). We all had a great time, will gladly play this course again, will highly recommend and be back NOT soon enough!!!!!
Have you golfed here? I would be interested in hearing what others thought of the course and if you are Pro, Intermediate, beginners, etc. with your experience and overall thoughts of the course. I hope you have enjoyed my pictures, my thoughts about the Course and a little bit about Wolf Creek Golf Club in Mesquite, NV!!! Below are just a few more pictures of the course out of my favorites!!
Mesquite NV…….What a beautiful course!!!!
We golfed this course but ran out of daylight so didn’t get to hold the last 2 holes!! 😞 Well worth it though and it averages 5 house to complete the course…….
Steep Ups and Downs and Gullies/Mini Grand Canyons to Tee off over (luckily I can’t hit that far so I use the forward tees or we might still be there😉)…..
